Bag: Vera Bradley Large Zip Cosmetic

I have tried a lot of cosmetic bags (I'm weak while waiting in the checkout line at a store), however none have held up as much as this one. These have an easy to clean waterproof, plastic, inside which is perfect for the accidental foundation spill. The zipper is sturdy and prevents the spill from contaminating the rest of your luggage if traveling. Not to mention - this bag is super affordable!

Face
  • Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (Sand): gives a nice dewy finish, doesn’t wash me out or make my look pale (foundation shade choices for olive tones are limited – this one is decent). It is very light coverage, I’m fortunate (and very grateful) to not need much coverage NOW, so I’m taking advantage of using a moisturizer instead of full-fledged foundation
  • Covergirl Simply Ageless Primer: a new addition to my bag, I read about it in Allure – so far so good!
  • Kat Von D Shade & Light Palette: a girl’s best friend <3
  • Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder (Translucent): love and hate relationship – I hate setting my face with ANY powder, but if your baking (google it) is done right you look flawless. My usualy response – “ain’t nobody got time for that”
  • Makeup Forever Setting Spray: I love using sprays, this is one of my usuals that I rotate through…
  • Nars Blush (Matahari): I’ve been using this for years, it works great with my coloring – the color in the pan is TERRIFYING but believe me it looks normal on…make sure you work lightly, the powder is amazingly pigmented #bravo
  • Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder (Precious Petals): great dupe for holy-grail item, BECCA OPAL...this one is cheap and cheerful – it’s only $3!

Eyes
  • Glossier Stretch Concealer (Medium 02): LOVE this concealer, it is so easy to blend and lightweight yet completely covers dark circles or anything else for that matter
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder (Granite): #eyebrowsonfleek
  • Maybelline Clear Gel: gotta keep those brows in place…I am Greek after all #blessingandcurse
  • Tweezerman Lash Curler: only brand I will use!
  • Maybelline Lash Discovery Mascara: I like to constantly change up my mascara – currently on the lookout for the perfect one. I’ve found some good ones along the way but I’m always open to suggestions!
  • L’Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner (Black): best eyeliner I’ve ever used. it’s smooth to use on both top and bottom waterlines and then it falls beautifully into the lash line, never smudges below. I would not recommend this product for top liner designs – it’s THICK!

Lips
  • Cerave Healing Ointment: I put this on right when I get out of the shower or right before I begin my face makeup - keeps everything  moisturized and prevents foundation from sticking to the lips...I do wipe it off after setting my foundation
  • IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Flush (Je Ne Sais Quoi): love this balm, it is light and gives just a slight touch of color - color will vary depending upon individual chemistry...for me its a slight pink :)

Tools
  • Beauty Blenders (two - pink and black): foundation and setting powder
  • Chanel Stippling Brush # 7: blush
  • MAC Stippling Brush #107: contour
  • ABH Eyebrow Brush #12: brows
