Backpack Revival

Monday, January 9, 2017

It is the first day back from break and I am struggling. I woke up at 4am for the first time in forever (cue the song from Frozen). I wanted to get to school super early. We had quite a few office-type changes that happened over break so I wanted to beat everyone else and get all of my copies completed. Our copiers were acting up for quite some time, so getting those copies done prior to break was a no-go. While my TYPE A personality shuddered, it simultaneously gave me the "energy" (using that term loosely) to wake up and head to work in the dark.

I brought my trusty North Face backpack (#college) to work with me this morning. I had SO much to bring to school that I couldn't possibly squeeze it all into my work bag. Not to mention I actually forgot to pack my work bag so I was still using my purse that I carried around most of break. Again, struggling.

This brings me to the point of this post: backpacks are f*cking awesome! Seriously. My hands were free from the usual balancing act of keys, coffee, computer and bag. Why do people even bother with real bags?!

I never thought I'd venture into backpack territory. It always seemed WAY too juvenile for me; a little TOO nostalgic of my elementary school, butterfly clip days.

That was until I saw the Chanel Urban Spirit Backpack. It is relatively new - introduced with the Spring/Summer 2016 collection. It is totally drool-worthy...I mean, if you're into that type of thing. I think I've been converted.
