Sephora Sale : Top Five

Monday, November 7, 2016

The time is finally here - Sephora is set to have their annual holiday shopping event! Sephora is a major beauty retailer that sells a myriad of items. Sephora holds an annual sale for their VIB Rouge and VIB members right before the holiday season. This sale allows shoppers to buy ANYTHING for 20% off. In order to become a VIB or "Very Important Buyer" you must join their free "Beauty Insider" loyalty program and spend $350 throughout the entire year. To get to their highest level, VIB Rouge, you must spend $1000 in a year.

With most non-drugstore beauty products, getting a discount is almost impossible. So for those of you that will be partaking in the sale and need a place to start - or would just enjoy some item recommendations - I thought I would share my top five beauty products you can buy at Sephora. These are some of my "ride or die" products that I have repurchased multiple times. These are the staple products that I will purchase during the sale just so I can have stock that never runs out!

Top Five

Mineral Veil Primer
$19-75

This stuff is amazing! It goes on like 'butta' and it creates the perfect smoothing canvas for your foundation to follow. It is pricey, so I always purchase during the sale. If you are nervous about trying such a big bottle, I recommend starting out with the trial size.

Brow Wiz
$21

My holy-grail brow product. I am ALL about my brows (future blog posts in the works) and this is one of my favorite products. I only use the ABH line for brow products and I'm a die hard believer in having nice...scratch that - perfect brows.  This product is easy to blend out using the spoolie to avoid the drawn on "insta-eyebrow" that is unfortunately sweeping the nation (ew). Anyways, I always purchase 2-3 of these during the sale!

The Original Beauty Blender
$20

I don't know what people did without the beauty blender. I know there are fancy brushes out there, and yes I do own quite a few of them, but nothing seems to give me the same 'airbrush' look as EASILY as using the beauty blender. This is a no fuss way to apply foundation, concealers, cream blushes, and you can even use it to set your makeup with powder. I purchase at least two every year because I dedicate them to different products. These little guys come in other colors as well - I always go for the black when it is available.

//

Mist & Fix Setting Spray
$30

I love setting sprays. It keeps you looking refreshed and blurs out any imperfections. I have tried a lot of setting sprays (MAC, Smashbox, UD, etc) and this one is my favorite...the only problem is that it is often sold out online and it is not available in ALL stores. So when I get the chance to stock up during the sale, I make sure to buy a few to keep around. It also comes in a trial size, so I like to buy the small ones for travel and to keep in my bags.

Hoola Matte Bronzer
$29

AND

Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer
$30

So I know I said FIVE products, but I'm coming at you with a double to finish off the list. There is a reason behind the false advertising! I am always searching for the perfect bronzer and I've found two products that I continue to come back to time and time again. I've also tried dabbling in contour palettes yet can't seem to get the right tone. I don't want anything too ashy nor do I want something to orange (#snooki). I also DETEST glitter...with a passion. The two products I've found that fit my checklist are the ones listed above. However, I've found that depending on your skin tone and what time of year it is (summer I'm obviously tanner) one works better than the other [Hoola for the winter months and Chocolate for the summer].  I will be repurchasing both of these bronzers because I routinely hit pan.

VIB Sale: November 11th - 14th (code: 20VIB)
